Artistic Craftsmanship: The art of bone inlay is a traditional craft with origins in the royal palaces of Rajasthan, India. This intricate art form is unique to India and has been perfected over generations. Skilled artisans in the regions of Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaipur create these exquisite pieces using bone or mother of pearl (MoP) inlaid into wooden frames. The process involves delicately carving pieces of bone or MoP, which are then arranged in elaborate patterns. These inlays are set into the wood and surrounded by layers of colored resin, creating a stunning, durable finish. The back and internal areas of the piece are painted to match the outer design, resulting in a beautifully crafted and timeless product.
Handling and Shipping:
Handling Time: Each bone inlay product requires 2 to 3 weeks for crafting and preparation before it is shipped.
Shipping Time: Once dispatched, delivery takes approximately 5 to 9 business days.
Packaging: Items are packed securely in a wooden (MDF) carton. The inner packaging includes foam, corner protectors, and corrugation to ensure safe transit.
Shipping Policies:
All products are insured during shipping. If an item arrives damaged beyond repair, a replacement will be provided. For minor damage or repairable issues, the full repair cost will be covered.
Upon receiving your shipment, inspect the package in the presence of the delivery agent. If you notice any damage, document it immediately and contact the shipping company. Provide complete images of both the damaged product and the packaging, along with your contact information, so our team can investigate and address the issue.
Customs Duties and Taxes:
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, and additional taxes that may apply. These fees vary by country and are not included in the purchase price.
In the UK, Canada, and Europe, VAT and duty fees will need to be paid upon delivery, as Etsy does not handle these charges at checkout.
